Those who followed the events of My Little Pony already know the six main characters of this fascinating spinoff. But this time the story unfolds in the human world where Twilight Sparkle and her friends got after following Sunset Shimmer through the magic portal. When they found themselves in Canterlot High instead of the Castle of Canterlot where they used to live as ponies, they discovered that they have turned into humans. Each of them now has two legs and two hands instead of four hooves and needs to adapt to a new world with its own rules. Here they need to pose as regular students – visit school lessons, do homework and take part in music competitions. That’s how Rainbow Rock is born! Now you need to help the heroes win fame on stage and take over their rivals.

Another trial by magic and friendship

In the first movie, the girls competed against Adagio Dazzle – a gifted musician who used her voice to feed on the negative emotions of the audience. Somehow she and her sisters find out that Twilight Sparkles and the others are not who they pretend to be. They see them using magic and plan to get it for themselves. Sunset Shimmer is on to their plot. She tries to warn the girls, but because they had differences in the past, they don’t want to believe her. Then Sunset sabotages their performance in the second round when they are about to get into the finals. The heroes notice that there is something wrong too. They find out that there is evil magic in the pendants worn by Adagio and her band. These pendants affect the students bringing out their worst qualities and making them fight each other. Of course they can’t live things like that! In the finals, when they almost lost the competition, they unite their magic and use it against the evil sisters to break the pendants. Without their magic accessories, Adagio and her band lose their voice, the spell fades away and they run away from the school. Friendship once again wins and everything gets back to how it should be.
